Unitree H1 Error Codes
The official Unitree documentation linked below includes the manufacturer's own FAQ and troubleshooting material for the Unitree H1 — the closest thing to a published error-code reference. Start there before searching forums: official fault tables match your firmware version, random PDFs may not.
When a humanoid throws a fault, the pattern matters as much as the code: which joint, under what load, and whether it clears on reboot. Note all three before you start unplugging things — it determines whether you're looking at a software glitch, a calibration drift, or a dying actuator.
What this document covers
- ✓Fault-code tables with causes and recommended actions
- ✓LED and status-indicator patterns during boot and faults
- ✓Joint torque faults: distinguishing calibration drift from hardware failure
- ✓Battery, charging, and power-distribution fault behavior
- ✓IMU, encoder, and sensor error handling
- ✓Safe recovery: reboot sequences, factory reset, and when to stop and call support

What we know about the Unitree H1
The H1 is a full-size, 47 kg machine — unbox and assemble it with two people and keep the area clear. The official SDK guide walks through the power-on sequence, remote control pairing, and high-level motion services; follow the joint-calibration steps before any dynamic movement.
If you're buying used, ask the seller for the service history and verify the firmware version against the docs hub. Cosmetic scuffs on the shins are normal for lab units; joint torque faults are not — run the diagnostics in the developer docs before you pay.
